Rural Zoning Rules - Farm Animals on 3 Acres Permitted with Farm Management Plan
Loudoun County permits farm animals on less than five acres if property owners file an approved Conservation Farm Plan (also known as a farm management plan) including a waste management plan through and with the Loudoun Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD) and the Virginia Cooperative Extension Service (VCES), A copy should also be provided to Loudoun County's Zoning Administrator.
