Website Helps Explain Septic System Mechanics
Brokers and agents who routinely deal with septic tank issues on behalf of their clients may want to investigate a new website, SepticHelp.org, which is designed to assist homebuyers and homeowners understand how the systems work.
Site operator Erik Pearson estimates 30 percent of homeowners nationwide live with septic systems but don’t know how to take care of them. "Even homeowners who have lived with a septic system for many years frequently don't know septic system basics, like the true function of the septic tank vs. the septic drain field," he said.
The site discusses everything from drain field failure to tank installation.
