CE/PL Requirements for Agents
Continuing Education Requirements for Agents
Salesperson licensees who have renewed their license at least once before must complete 16 hours of Continuing Education (CE), 8 hours of Mandatory topics and 8 hours of Electives in order to renew their license.
8 hours of Mandatory Topics include:
- Contracts (1)
- Law (1)
- Fair Housing (2)
- Agency (1)
- Ethics (3)
8 hours of Elective Topics:
- Check our calendar for our variety of elective CE topics to choose from.
New Agents Post License Education Requirements
New salespersons initially licensed before July 1, 2008 must complete 30 hours of Post License Training (PL) within their first two year licensure term. New salespersons initially licensed on or after July 1, 2008 must complete 30 hours of Post Licensing Training (PL) within the first 12 months of licensure. The curriculum includes 15 hours of Mandatory topics and 15 hours of Electives.
IMPORTANT: DAAR Members are also required to complete New Member Ethics and Orientation within the first two times the course is offered by the Association.
15 hours of Mandatory Topics include:
- Realtor Ethics (3)
- Contracts- Writing the Offer & Contract Management (3)
- Real Estate Agency (3)
- Fair Housing (3)
- Real Estate Law & Legal Issues (3)
15 hours of Elective Topics include:
- Business Planning (3)
- Selling Process (3)
- Property Valuation (3)
- Technology (3)
- Financing (3)
- And/Or any other PL elective topics offered
Each course is $15/hr. by phone registration
Discount $12/hr. by online registration.
